NutriLogic (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information NutriLogic accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
NutriLogic may process information you voluntarily enter or create, including:
NutriLogic does not currently require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or Apple ID to use the app.
On supported Apple devices, NutriLogic can optionally read workout and activity information from Apple Health after you grant permission.
Depending on what is available, this may include:
Connecting Apple Health is optional. NutriLogic requests read-only access to workouts, step count, and active energy. It does not write information to Apple Health.
Imported activity information is used to display activity summaries and, where enabled, adjust calorie targets and personalize nutrition and wellness insights inside NutriLogic.
Imported Apple Health information is stored locally by NutriLogic on your device. It is not sold, used for advertising or marketing, shared with data brokers, or used to determine eligibility for insurance, credit, or employment.
You control Apple Health permissions through the Health app or iOS Settings and may revoke access at any time. Disconnecting Apple Health within NutriLogic stops future imports and removes Apple Health workouts stored by NutriLogic. It does not delete or change information in Apple Health.
Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a UPC barcode. NutriLogic does not save or upload camera images.
The decoded barcode may be sent to the NutriLogic food service, which may use USDA FoodData Central or Open Food Facts to find a matching food.
NutriLogic operates a food-only service using Cloudflare infrastructure.
Food search terms and decoded barcodes may be processed by this service and, when needed, sent to food-data providers such as USDA FoodData Central or Open Food Facts.
Search and barcode responses may be cached to:
If you voluntarily submit a nutrition issue report, the report is sent to a private review queue.
NutriLogic also sends a randomly generated installation identifier with food-service requests for service operation, abuse prevention, continuity, and rate limiting. For stored reports, the service converts that identifier into a one-way hash. It is not your Apple ID and is not intended to identify you by name.
Nutrient edits you make on your device remain local unless you separately choose to submit a nutrition issue report.
Most NutriLogic information is stored locally on your device. When you use an online feature, the minimum information needed to provide that feature may be transmitted.
This may include:
NutriLogic does not intentionally send your name, email address, Apple ID, camera images, complete nutrition history, biometrics, workouts, or Apple Health records to the food service.
Apple Health information is not sent to advertising services or data brokers.
NutriLogic uses information to:
Food logs, profile settings, saved foods, meals, local nutrient corrections, legal-acceptance records, and imported workouts are stored locally in NutriLogic’s app storage on your device.
Local information remains until you delete it through available app controls, disconnect and remove imported Apple Health workouts, reset applicable data, or uninstall the app.
Food-service cache records expire and are periodically removed.
Nutrition issue reports and food source, revision, and correction records may be retained as reasonably needed to:
Other information submitted to an online feature may be processed long enough to provide and protect that feature.
NutriLogic uses service providers to operate specific online features. These include:
These providers process only the information needed for the applicable feature and may be subject to their own privacy terms.
You may decline or revoke camera and Apple Health permissions through iOS Settings.
You may edit or delete locally stored information through available NutriLogic controls or by uninstalling the app.
Submitting a nutrition issue report is optional.
You may contact us with a privacy or deletion question, including a question about a submitted report, using the email address below.
NutriLogic is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe a minor has provided personal information, contact us so we can address it.
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by NutriLogic. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy as NutriLogic changes.
Updates will be posted on this page and identified by the “Last updated” date. When the app identifies a new legal-policy version, it may ask you to review and acknowledge the updated policy in the app.
